Why, hello there!

Preamble

First of all, if you're reading this, thank you. It must mean my portfolio full of alcohol, tobacco and alternative milk hasn't left you with a bad taste in your mouth. In my 12+ years of sitting behind a computer screen, I've had to opportunity to work on brands of all shapes and sizes. The ones featured here just happen to be some of my favorite projects, but boy, they sure do make an interesting combination.

Abbreviated Life Story

I was born and raised in Colorado, and — probably influenced by watching too many episodes of Gilmore Girls growing up — I decided I needed to go to college out east. Enter Syracuse University, where I studied Communications Design and forgot what sleep was. In 2010, I submitted a student packaging project to TheDieline and Andrew Gibbs himself emailed me to let me know my work would be featured (granted this was very early on in Dieline history, but nonetheless, I felt the need to namedrop and try to impress you). So there it was, the universe told me I needed to pursue my love of packaging.

I moved to Connecticut (or, as I like to call it, "the Greater New York City area") to cut my teeth at a couple packaging design firms where I was lucky enough to get to design projects that ended up winning some awards. But brands are more than just a pretty package and I wanted to learn how to build out all facets of a brand. So, in 2015 I joined a boutique advertising firm where I almost fulfilled a childhood dream of going to Woodstock (if it hadn't been cancelled).

In 2017, I married a man that convinced me to move to Buffalo. So, I found an alternative milk company out here in need of a designer. For almost 4 years, I led an in-house creative team of three at Elmhurst 1925 and learned I really like walnut milk. I also learned I love building brands. That's why, in 2021, I decided to do just that. Now I work for brands big and little, as a one-woman show or as a partner with agencies and other creative professionals to make brands shine.

If you've gotten this far and I still haven't convinced you to give me a shot, I think we need to grab a virtual coffee and gab like we're in Luke's Diner. Drop me a note below and I'll be in touch!
